Thank you to all who are joining us today as we offer an incremental three day Fast for America leading up to the celebration of the birth of our Republic. President Washington’s directive was clear as to how to celebrate the blessings of America so that we would remember how to live by them as families.  We wanted to also share some amazing history that you may wish to discuss with your families and friends and spread among believers.  First per David Barton:

While it may not surprise you that the 1^st meeting of American leaders among the colonies began with a prayer – Beyond the customary one-minute invocation, did you know our founders prayed for two hours to begin the talks of our nation’s formation? John Adams wrote to his wife Abigail and shared with her the exciting news that God showed them while praying in Psalm 35.

Our founders instituted a day of prayer … and fasting! Adams was so excited about what the Lord showed them he wrote Abigail that America would defeat the British and achieve our independence … a ridiculous notion that was utterly impossible by man’s standards.

1400 times by 1815 the government issued calls for America’s citizens and public officials to pray for America! 1400 times by 1815!

So fellow patriots and believers, until we again have Christian leaders in our great nation, it is up to all of us to call our fellow countrymen to fast with us for the restitution of our republic.

satan is desperate to prevent believers from recalling the power of fasting so expect to hear many internal doubts about the impact just your little sacrifice can merit for the nation. The reality is that just small armies of believers is what God has used again and again to defeat more powerful foes of His kingdom and each day you fast, history is impacted.

Expect as well that graces and blessings will flow to your families in the days ahead.

Lastly if you feel your family is detached or uninspired by the sacrifices that have been made by our ancestors so that we may live free, despite their flaws consider watching Saving Private Ryan or The Patriot ahead of the 4^th with them as our youth are visual learners and much of our history has been hidden from them. It is also good for us as adults to vividly remember  their courage and effort which puts our fast in perspective – it is just a tiny effort we render to the Lord with joy.

Why We Fast – Our Core Fasting Intentions

1) We add the new fasting intention of taking back the church from evil. We submit the three-step process to achieve this victory is 1-Repent, 2-Prayer & Fasting and, 3-Imitate our Savior by throwing the evil leadership from the church. We will seek to emulate the Savior in our effort to End The USCCB, an organization that has been devastating to the church.  (“You shall know the spirit by the fruits” - Matt. 7:16)

2) For the Holy Spirit to reign down upon America, renewing our land as the Christian, capitalist meritocracy we were founded to be.

3) For the protection of our police, firefighters, military and their families from harm and that the Lord bless their courageous generosity on our behalf.

4) For the protection of the families who fast with us, and for God’s blessings of abundance upon them and that true to His word, we will be able to witness that He prospered us in famine.

5) For priests, ministers and all who aspire to lead others to the Lord, that the Holy Spirit will reign down upon them as at Pentecost filling them to overflowing. 

6) For the Americans jailed after January 6th who were admitted to the Capitol building by the police, and who were not found to have destroyed any property at the capitol yet who have been held captive ever since on our own soil - That God's Spirit will move quickly to bring justice back to this land and free them.
