Sunday marked the end of the Christmas Octave with a feast on every day: feasts commemorating St Stephen the first Martyr, St John the apostle, and the Holy Martyrs who died in in the manhunt for the baby King. We also had the feast of the Holy Family; the Feast of St Thomas a Becket who was martyred for the faith; and the feast of St Sylvester, the pope who presided while Constantine was emperor, a bridge between persecution and peace. Sunday we celebrated the day Jesus was circumcised and given his name, the name above all names, as well as the Feast of Mary Mother of God. What a blessing to have such a rich faith! 

We were to resume our regular fasting of Wednesday and Friday, however, we have seen and are amplifying the call from fellow believers and patriots for a three day fast on Jan 3, 4, and 5th. In the article referenced here our readers will be reminded of the unjust imprisonment of the many January 6^th patriots who are being held without Constitutional rights.  In a beautiful exchange of letters, Joseph McBride, a lawyer who is representing several defendants, and Archbishop Vigano both acknowledge the spiritual battle of which we are well aware. McBride felt the Holy Spirit ask him to fast for these three days and asked for Archbishop Vigano’s participation and blessing. 

Inspired by these letters and the need to intensify our prayers and fasting for these patriots, we will join the nation in fasting for their miraculous release. Our God specializes in giving the victory when his people humble themselves and acknowledge their helplessness without Him. 

In your charity, kindly review these letters and fast with us for these three days as much as you are able. Our Lady said that bread and water is the best fast, so when done in the spirit of simplicity and cheerfulness, our sacrifice accesses the heart of the Father. We do not necessarily see the results of the spiritual grenades that we launch by our fasting, but the powers of darkness certainly feel the pain. We are at war with the Powers and Principalities, and this simple thing we can do has greater effects than we can imagine. 

God bless you for joining in our three day fast. On Friday we will be celebrating the Feast of the Epiphany so we will not be fasting. 

Why We Fast – Our Core Fasting Intentions

1) For the Holy Spirit to reign down upon America renewing our land as the Christian, capitalist meritocracy we were founded to be.

2) For the protection of our police, firefighters, military and their families from harm and that the Lord bless their courageous generosity on our behalf one hundredfold.

3) For the protection of the families who fast with us, and for God’s blessings of abundance upon them and that true to His word, we will be able to witness that He prospered us in famine.

5) For priests, ministers and all who aspire to lead others to the Lord, that the Holy Spirit will reign down upon them as at Pentecost filling them to overflowing with an understanding of what the Lord wants, courage and the desire to preach what He would have them preach and protection and strength from all evil that comes against them. 

6) For the Americans jailed after January 6th who were admitted to the Capitol building by the police, and who were not found to have destroyed any property at the capitol yet who have been held captive ever since on our own soil - That God's Spirit will move quickly to bring justice back to this land by freeing them while enlightening Americans how to bring God's justice back to our nation.

7) For young Megan who has an incurable liver condition @ Duke Hospital - Asking the Divine Physician for a complete healing.
