The Power of Belief
"In prayer you shall perceive ... the way out of every situation that has no exit." |
____________________________________________________________________________ Today the most studied gospel passage in the world were these three brief lines: 28Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." - MATTHEW 11:28-30
Contrast that with the message from satan's bishops who tell the youth, ‘you probably won't see any miracles from your prayers but just be content they will be heard’... and ‘life is about suffering but hopefully then you'll make it to heaven’... what a wise message to impart if one’s goal was specifically to drive away the youth. Similarly consider even the most recent change to the vernacular around the Eucharist. Receiving Christ in the Eucharist is as intimate and real as Mary’s experience while carrying the savior herself. Recall that for centuries at the Eucharist believers were reminded of the power of prayer and specifically the power of the Eucharist. After all, people were healed just from touching the hem of His garment. For those who believe that Jesus meant what He said, Jesus explicitly tells us we are touching Him. Not His garment. Not his cross, but Him. How reasonable then was it that for centuries believers proclaimed at the Eucharist “Lord I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I (i.e. all of me!) shall be healed.” In contrast recently the bishops changed the words at the time of receiving Jesus to say, “only say the word and my soul shall be healed,” further stifling expectations and belief. Think about it - No one in scripture ever went to Jesus and asked them to heal his soul. Even satanic possessions permeated every fabric of their physical bodies too. In contrast people came to Jesus all the time asking Him to heal their infirmities. And in most cases Jesus did. The real exception to this was when believers’ expectations were low just as ours have become so low today. When expectations were low even Jesus Himself could not unlock Heaven’s power! Recall Matthew 13:58 –
Now it is true as the bishops always remind believers that Jesus also told us to take up our cross daily and follow him… but isn't that what we're doing by fasting today? Or when you rise a little early to pray? How did we see his apostles live in his presence? They were surrounded by miracle … after miracle … after miracle.
Interestingly in Medjugorje, heaven was asked point blank if it had to drill all of the faith down to just one idea for people to take away what should that one idea be? Heaven's response was simply “believe”. Elizabeth explicitly said to Mary that it was because of Mary’s belief that history’s greatest miracle was unlocked: You are blessed because you believed that what the Lord said would ·really happen – Luke 1:45 EXB And so today while fasting, expect great things from the Lord in your life. Scripture shows He is always mindful of our prayers but the bible also shows heaven takes a particular notice of us when we fast. Let’s watch what unfolds as the great nascent revival that is beginning in the church spreads. To satan’s consternation we will again see extraordinary miracles as the faithful realize the Eucharist is made for miracles. Why We Fast – Our Core Fasting Intentions 1) For the Holy Spirit to reign down upon America renewing our land as the Christian, capitalist meritocracy we were founded to be. 2) For the protection of our police, firefighters, military and their families from harm and that the Lord bless their courageous generosity on our behalf one hundredfold. 3) For the protection of the families who fast with us, and for God’s blessings of abundance upon them and that true to His word, we will be able to witness that He prospered us in famine. 4) For Mike Lindell who is putting himself on the front lines suing over the election fraud that has taken place and for all of the warriors who are stepping up around the nation to fight for the gospel – May The Father cover them in the blood of our savior, protect them and their families from evil and bring victory to their endeavors. |
