Thank you to all of you who have been praying ardently in response to the request from Medjugorje that we do so for peace.

For those who are not aware, the response to heaven‘s request was encouraging with thousands of people willingly climbing the mountain of the apparitions at 5 AM daily and again at 10 PM each day. This took place from the day after the request was made for the nine days prayer for peace leading up to the feast of Medjugorje on June 25^th.  Around the world many joined our prayers and sacrifices with those present on the holy ground of our generation.

In an unprecedented development in the church’s 2,000 year history of apparitions, for this particular 9 day novena for peace, Heaven asked that the time of the apparitions be moved to 11:30PM daily, clearly signaling the final hour.   

And so at 11:30 PM on the evening of June 24^th, at the conclusion of heaven's request for intense prayer for peace, The Mother of the Redeemer again appeared.  She came clothed in a dress of gold on this most special occasion and notably was very joyful.  Her joy is worth reflection as she is often seen with visible anguish on her face knowing many of evil’s plans to ruin lives and families.  In contrast on this night concluding the urgent novena however, with joy she thanked everyone for their prayers and sacrifices and simply said “Continue!”  before she prayed for us to the Lord in her native Aramaic language.

As has happened in the past on the handful of occasions when she has expressed moments of urgency over the last 43 years, it seems she was not permitted to give exacting detail as to what transpired this week. Her body language and smile however revealed that her immediate concerns have been averted and that something positive developed in the war for humanity between good and evil.  Expect that at some point in the future when classified documents and events are disseminated in the public domain, we will see that there was a de-escalation of aggression this week. 

Supporting her word of encouragement and demeanor it seems heaven gave us another clue as to how significant the victory was this week.

Decades ago before anyone heard of Medjugorje or any figure on the global stage today, scriptural reflections were chosen for June 25, 2024.  Those passages would become the most widely studied scripture verses in the world just moments after her visit concluding the novena for peace. Consider the world’s most studied Old Testament passage on June 25th from 2 Kings 19:

And when the king heard concerning Tirha'kah king of Ethiopia, "Behold, he has set out to fight against you," he sent messengers again to Hezeki'ah, saying, 10"Thus shall you speak to Hezeki'ah king of Judah: `Do not let your God on whom you rely deceive you by promising that Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria. 11Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, destroying them utterly. And shall you be delivered? 14Hezeki'ah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezeki'ah went up to the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD. 15And Hezeki'ah prayed before the LORD, and said: "O LORD the God of Israel, who art enthroned above the cherubim, thou art the God, thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. 16Incline thy ear, O LORD, and hear; open thy eyes, O LORD, and see; and hear the words of Sennach'erib, which he has sent to mock the living God. 17Of a truth, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands, 18and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone; therefore they were destroyed. 19So now, O LORD our God, save us, I beseech thee, from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou, O LORD, art God alone." 20Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezeki'ah, saying, "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: Your prayer to me about Sennach'erib king of Assyria I have heard. 21This is the word that the LORD has spoken concerning him: "She despises you, she scorns you -- the virgin daughter of Zion; she wags her head behind you -- the daughter of Jerusalem. 31for out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. The zeal of the LORD will do this. 32"Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city or shoot an arrow there, or come before it with a shield or cast up a siege mound against it. 33By the way that he came, by the same he shall return, and he shall not come into this city, says the LORD. 34For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake and for the sake of my servant David." 35And that night the angel of the LORD went forth, and slew a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies. 36Then Sennach'erib king of Assyria departed, and went home, and dwelt at Nin'eveh.

The most studied psalm in the world following this novena also read:

PSALMS 48:2-4, 10-11

Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain, 2beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, in the far north, the city of the great King. 3Within her citadels God has shown himself a sure defense. 9We have thought on thy steadfast love, O God, in the midst of thy temple. 10As thy name, O God, so thy praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Thy right hand is filled with victory;

In the above passages, we see evil threatening believers, trying to intimidate them into thinking that their faith in the Lord was naïve as it marched forward with plans for war.

Reflect too that in the above passage, the believer’s prayer seeking protection from evil’s onslaught was heard by the Lord just as ours has been. And as the passage tells us, heaven released an extraordinary blessing in response to the believer’s prayer as 185,000 attackers of God‘s believers were killed in their sleep that evening.

The threat of war receded because of the prayers of believers then and it did this week as well.

We also see the reference to Jerusalem, the City of God, and are cognizant of John’s words in Revelation – that John saw a New Jerusalem, a New City of God coming from heaven.

Remarkably in Revelation John described the New Jerusalem as the woman clothed with the sun, wearing a crown of 12 stars on her head.

Unlike in other apparitions, when the Mother of our Redeemer appears in Medjugorje, she wears a crown of 12 stars just as described in Revelation.

The scripture passage also speaks of the remnant, going forth from the City of God and speaks of this band of survivors who emanate from the City of God as blessed by protection from the Lord.

If as John described Mary is the New Jerusalem, she is the new City of God, it is easy to parallel a remnant of the church who is going forth with their lives adhering to this clarion call for repentance, prayer and fasting as she requests.

It is so encouraging to also contemplate the enthusiasm for our Lord to aggressively defend those who are His.

Whether in Egypt with the final plague, or in the above passage from Kings, God delineates:  Those who fear him and obey his commands, and those who don’t. His protection depends upon our decisions to adhere to His laws.

So thank you for your prayers and sacrifices.  A great albeit unseen victory has occurred for believers this week.

Let us recall the sacrifices of so many who have gone before us and double down on our efforts to do great things for the kingdom.

Thank you for fasting with us tomorrow. You will be glad you made the effort for all of eternity.

Why We Fast – Our Core Fasting Intentions

1) We add the new fasting intention of taking back the church from evil. We submit the three-step process to achieve this victory is 1-Repent, 2-Prayer & Fasting and, 3-Imitate our Savior by throwing the evil leadership from the church. We will seek to emulate the Savior in our effort to End the USCCB, an organization that has been devastating to the church.  (“You shall know the spirit by the fruits” - Matt. 7:16)

2) For the Holy Spirit to reign down upon America, renewing our land as the Christian, capitalist meritocracy we were founded to be.

3) For the protection of our police, firefighters, military and their families from harm and that the Lord bless their courageous generosity on our behalf.

4) For the protection of the families who fast with us, and for God’s blessings of abundance upon them and that true to His word, we will be able to witness that He prospered us in famine.

5) For priests, ministers and all who aspire to lead others to the Lord, that the Holy Spirit will reign down upon them as at Pentecost filling them to overflowing. 

6) For the Americans jailed after January 6th who were admitted to the Capitol building by the police, and who were not found to have destroyed any property at the capitol yet who have been held captive ever since on our own soil - That God's Spirit will move quickly to bring justice back to this land and free them.
