Spotlight on the American Gold Eagle

Due to its iconic design, the 1 oz American Gold Eagle stands as a favorite to collectors and investors. It is celebrated globally for its patriotic artwork and reliable bullion quality.

The American Gold Eagle Series quickly became the most widely recognized and traded coin series worldwide. In 1985, the South African Krugerrand had a 95% global share of the sovereign gold coin market. Since the US gold eagle was introduced in 1986 it has become the best selling gold coin in the world.

The design was refreshed in 2021 replacing the family of eagles with a single eagle. The original coin also used roman numerals to denote the year the coin was minted.

The American Gold Eagle coins are offered in four distinct sizes, 1/10, 1/4, 1/2, or 1oz gold.
