America, a great opportunity is at hand.

God has ordained various times and occasions as special - Occasions where He has acted in a dramatic fashion, with power that shapes history.  The parting of the Red Sea, the Annunciation, the Resurrection and perhaps most extraordinarily – Pentecost.

Pentecost, when the power of God descended upon humanity to the individual level. An unprecedented development in the love God has for mankind.

The grandeur of the Holy Spirit, the power of God, is the transforming light that opens eyes, changes hearts and changes history.

Juxtaposed against the headlines we read of intentionally destructive policies from our government is the reality that each day more Americans are awakening to truth and seeing how we have been deceived.

We would all like this process to be over with, but it seems God views that more of our nation must repent. Until that time, if we don’t want Him in our schools, courthouses, and legislative meetings, He will leave us alone. satan gladly steps into that void knowing that this is evil’s best opportunity for a kill shot after decades of planning and pushing to remove God and His protection from America.

And while evil seeks our discouragement, we have an extraordinary advantage. Realize the choice for American to go the route of good or evil is not like a vote – God doesn’t require that the majority of the nation belongs to Him. Recall how His servants in scripture pleaded with Him for His mercy if just a handful of devoted believers could be found. Recall the uplifting battle teaching Leviticus holds out to us:

Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you.

I submit to you that it is believers who have a kill shot at this moment lining up on evil. And evil knows it.  The Holy Spirit is looking to rain down as He did at Pentecost, unleashing the greatest revival our country has ever seen. With that revival and return to the Lord will come order, justice, beauty and prosperity. Between here and there may lie a brutal battle and the longer it takes us to awaken and repent, the longer and more difficult the struggle will be – but this moment holds up an extraordinary opportunity to accelerate that restoration leading into Pentecost.

Let us reach out over these next nine days leading up to Pentecost and tell heaven we do want God back in America – How blessed we would be to live as He designed.

So, leading up to Pentecost, beyond today’s fast, next Wednesday’s and next Friday’s fast join us and fast with us from now through next Saturday night, the eve of Pentecost. Calling out to God to rescue America and our families in dramatic fashion.

Pray about how you should participate.

My greatest caution to you is not to let satan deceive you and choose something because you perceive it to be good for your appearance because that is dieting, not fasting. When you diet for your appearance rather than fast for God, you lose virtually all of the benefits.

Choose a path for you that is a big sacrifice and each day, do it with joy – He looks at our hearts. Are we generous? Joyful? That is of upmost importance to Him.

For those of you who are veteran fasters with us or who want to try to join us, we will endeavor to the following:

1) Today we fast on bread and water as usual.

2) We will fast as the exorcists who know how to defeat evil tomorrow through Wednesday, including Sunday. We almost never fast on the Lord’s Day but is part of the nine-day window into Pentecost so this week we will fast on Sunday in the same manner. Exorcists fast six days weekly - one meal per day, supplemented with bread and water during the day.

3) We will end this fasting novena attempting the Esther Fast next Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

For newcomers the Esther Fast was the fast explicitly prescribed in scripture that Esther followed when all believers were slated to be murdered.

For three days Esther and believers refrained from any food and from all liquids – not even water for three days.

The outcome was that the Spirit whispered a strategy that Esther used to unmask evil and restore believers, making the 13th of the month one of the most blessed days for humanity.

This in all likelihood was the same fast Jonah followed while in the whale for three days before the dramatic and last-minute restoration of Nineveh.

And this was the exact prescription – nothing to eat and nothing to drink for three days – that Paul followed at the moment his renaissance began.

This will be approximately the 5th Esther Fast we have done. Whenever we aspire to follow this biblical prescription, we don’t know if we will be able to make it.  But we will try. To date, the Lord has sustained us. In the days ahead we will send more thoughts on this including some practical ideas around such a fast.

While it sounds daunting, we think of the men who sailed onto the beaches of Normandy. What courage that took so that you and I could live freely. What a sacrifice that was –

We can do this America.

God measures by the heart, not by results. 

Let’s step up and petition heaven with extra fasting over these nine days that the Holy Spirit will cause the scales of blindness to fall from the eyes of America just as He did Paul and inflect the renewal of our great nation. That He will protect our families as we fast from all warfare just as He did the families who fasted with Esther and again with Ezra as they brought defenseless children to the front lines – and emerged totally safe. And we ask the Spirit to bless our dreams and endeavors for as the most widely studied gospel passage in the world today told us:

John 16:23 -

Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father, he will give it to you in my name.

Thank you for fasting with us – You will be glad you made the effort for all of eternity.

6) For the Americans jailed after January 6th who were admitted to the Capitol building by the police, and who were not found to have destroyed any property at the capitol yet who have been held captive ever since on our own soil - That God's Spirit will move quickly to bring justice back to this land by freeing them while enlightening Americans how to bring God's justice back to our nation.

7) For young Megan who has an incurable liver condition @ Duke Hospital - Asking the Divine Physician for a complete healing.
