Thank you to the believers who wrote in regarding the protestant minister’s death experience. To refresh, this generous minister was told that his life of service was rejected by God because he lived like a Pharisee.
Without coincidence today the most studied gospel passage in the world is one of the most fascinating and is related. It quickens the soul, meaning gives one joy and excitement, to see our God of precision at work…
"There was a rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. 20And at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus, full of sores, 21who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man's table; moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores. 22The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried; 23and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes, and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus in his bosom. 24And he called out, `Father Abraham, have mercy upon me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.' 25But Abraham said, `Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish. 26And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.' 27And he said, `Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father's house, 28for I have five brothers, so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.' 29But Abraham said, `They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.' 30And he said, `No, father Abraham; but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' 31He said to him, `If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.'” Luke 16:19-31
There are so many fascinating things to reflect on from this passage, that even a full sermon could not do justice. Reflect for yourself on a few observations from this passage:
One – why do we see the man in heaven resting in Abraham’s arms rather than the Lord’s?
Two – Why is Lazarus the only person named in a parable, and named Lazarus? What was the meaning to this name as Lazarus was one of Jesus’ best & wealthiest friends and the friend who Jesus would later raise from the dead? Why was his wealthy friend’s namesake in the parable portrayed as someone of abject poverty and suffering, given that his friend Lazarus was the mirror opposite in life?
Three – why does Jesus bring dogs into the story? He could have just said there was a poor man who suffered a terrible skin disease if not leprosy. (Could there be a greater spiritual meaning to dogs, the hounds of Heaven… who were so present 1000 years later, when the rosary was given from heaven?)
Four – What do we know about the man in hell?
an attribute of the man is that he was wealthy.
The behavior of the man is that he never fasted. We know that because Jesus went out of His way to say he “feasted scrumptiously every day.” Jews then, like Christians today, were obligated to fast two days per week no matter what modern rabbis or our pastors deny of this reality.
The man was condemned to hell because he did not repent. He pleaded with Abraham to send a messenger to his beloved family with the message to repent so that they may avoid hell.
Both characters were in all likelihood descendants of Judaism as Abraham called him “son”, and the unnamed man in hell called out to Abraham for mercy.
Isn’t it also interesting to consider –
As Jesus would command us, Abraham had already shaken the dust from his sandals as it relates to this family of sinners. They had been told to repent and chose not to do so. Abraham had moved on.
The beggar had a medical condition, apparent to all, which likely prevented him from working as he was kept at a distance. Whatever it was, in all likelihood he was unable to work, rather than being unwilling an important distinction for God’s mercy.
And in contrast to this being a socialist justice nirvana, Abraham gave a clear two-part prescription for believers to avoid hell in this parable:
Honor Moses, i.e., obey the commandments. Let us remember daily the commandments are written in the order of importance and as Jesus confirmed, the most important commandment is to love God with all your heart. The first three commandments, i.e. the most important, are all geared towards our relationship with God –
Reject pagan gods,
honor the Lord‘s name, omitting it as a curse while frequenting it with reverence, and
honor the sabbath by not working on the Lord’s day.
The second of Abraham’s two-part prescription to avoid hell is to listen to the prophets. To a person the prophet’s message was the same: Repent.
And so here is one other video of a life after death experience. Like the protestant pastor, this life after death experience also suggests only approximately 2% of humanity goes to heaven, while many end up in hell suffering, these horrific tortures for all of eternity that were so easy to avoid.
Lastly I am writing this in the tense as though it is still leap year, Tuesday, even though we just crossed midnight in the Pacific time zone. This was my Father’s birthday and I may never write a reminder that falls on a leap year. So I wanted to seize this moment and honor my wonderful Dad who grew up in abject poverty and who vowed as a boy that he would give his family something better. His story makes me so proud to have been blessed with what the MSM mock as “white privilege,” i.e. what often happens in America when Dad’s stick around to be sure their children had it better than they did growing up.
Let’s pray for all of our parents and ancestors this day who have blessed us with much. This favorite picture of my Dad was after he won a tennis tournament in Europe.
1) We add the new fasting intention of taking back the church from evil. We submit the three-step process to achieve this victory is 1-Repent, 2-Prayer & Fasting and, 3-Imitate our Savior by throwing the evil leadership from the church. We will seek to emulate the Savior in our effort to End The USCCB, an organization that has been devastating to the church. (“You shall know the spirit by the fruits” - Matt. 7:16)
2) For the Holy Spirit to reign down upon America, renewing our land as the Christian, capitalist meritocracy we were founded to be.
3) For the protection of our police, firefighters, military and their families from harm and that the Lord bless their courageous generosity on our behalf.
4) For the protection of the families who fast with us, and for God’s blessings of abundance upon them and that true to His word, we will be able to witness that He prospered us in famine.

We maintain a repository of ideas and information we have learned over the last decade while fasting weekly for America. From scientific studies on the benefits of fasting, to the differences between intermittent dieting vs intermittent fasting, to scriptural references regarding the power of fasting to the history of first century Christians who stated believers are obligated to fast weekly, we hope you will find numerous insights with our free resource located here.
Together let us also implore Heaven while fasting for intentions you have highlighted:
4) For all patriots who put themselves on the front lines in combatting evil and for all of the warriors who are stepping up around the nation to fight for the gospel – May The Father cover them in the blood of our savior, protect them and their families from evil and bring victory to their endeavors.
5) For priests, ministers and all who aspire to lead others to the Lord, that the Holy Spirit will reign down upon them as at Pentecost filling them to overflowing.
6) For the Americans jailed after January 6th who were admitted to the Capitol building by the police, and who were not found to have destroyed any property at the capitol yet who have been held captive ever since on our own soil - That God's Spirit will move quickly to bring justice back to this land and free them.
