Below is a link to a 12-minute podcast done by a Catholic priest and Ascension Press that highlights how Christianity is unique from all other religions.

If you don’t know Ascension, they have done an admirable job filling in the massive gaps of formation needed in the Catholic Church and enkindling the faith of many. We expect you will find this small sample of their work to be very well done.

The speaker, Rev. Mike Schmitz, has with Ascension created what has been some weeks the #1 ranked podcast on Apple, entitled The Bible In A Year.

That is an astounding accomplishment - think about what that took to achieve such a result.  Both Ascension and Fr. Schmitz deserve our admiration and gratitude for such an endeavor.

The story is reminiscent of Rev. Fulton Sheen who for a time had the #1 TV show in America before the catholic bishops concluded he was doing too much good and silenced him. Let’s pray the Catholic bishops don’t try to do the same to Rev. Mike as he is inspiring the youth in droves.

Perhaps you may wish to end your day by watching this tonight, letting it set the tone for a peaceful and happy night’s rest and for a wonderful day tomorrow while fasting with us.

Our little sacrifice of bread and water fasting each Wednesday and Friday as first century Christians wrote is obligatory for all Christians(!), takes a sledgehammer to evil. The fasting sledgehammer that agonizes evil is unique in its power as our Savior explicitly showed us.  Let others know about the power of fasting if they have been struggling with evil stalking their families, their endeavors or the lives of friends.

Fasting is the spiritual tool Jesus gave us to defeat evil - Let's use it!

1) For the Holy Spirit to reign down upon America renewing our land as the Christian, capitalist meritocracy we were founded to be.

2) For the protection of our police, firefighters, military and their families from harm and that the Lord bless their courageous generosity on our behalf one hundredfold.

3) For the protection of the families who fast with us, and for God’s blessings of abundance upon them and that true to His word, we will be able to witness that He prospered us in famine.

6) For the Americans jailed after January 6th who were admitted to the Capitol building by the police, and who were not found to have destroyed any property at the capitol yet who have been held captive ever since on our own soil - That God's Spirit will move quickly to bring justice back to this land by freeing them while enlightening Americans how to bring God's justice back to our nation.

7) For young Megan who has an incurable liver condition @ Duke Hospital - Asking the Divine Physician for a complete healing.
