Hello and welcome to the very first installment of Ask Becca! I’m Becca, and I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you’re a complete beginner curious about your first gold coin or a seasoned investor with a stash of silver bars, this column is for you. Think of it as a friendly chat about precious metals – a place where no question is too basic or too advanced, and everyone is welcome.

A little about me: I’ve been fascinated by gold and silver ever since I held my first gold coin as a kid. I still remember that moment my grandfather placed a tiny, gleaming coin in my hand, and it felt like I was holding pirate treasure! I was excited and confused all at once. How could something so small be so valuable? Where do you even buy these things? Should I hide it under my bed? That early curiosity sparked a lifelong passion. Over the years, I found answers to those questions (and many more) and even became the go-to friend for “Should I buy gold now or wait?” kind of questions. Now, through Ask Becca, I get to share that knowledge and enthusiasm with you.

In this column, you can expect straightforward, no-nonsense answers about investing in precious metals. My goal is to give you clear information without any fluff, mind-numbing jargon, or scare tactics. And while I do help people buy gold and silver for a living (full disclosure!), this isn’t some sneaky sales pitch. If you decide metals are right for you, great! If not, you’ll at least walk away knowing more about how the system really works. Either way, I promise to keep it real.

So when I explain concepts like why central banks keep buying gold or why silver isn’t just “second place” to gold, I’ll do it in plain English. I promise, if you’re wondering about something, there are probably others wondering too, and no question is “too silly” or “too simple.”
