Tonight’s reminder is going to upset some readers. For other readers, loved ones should be aware of this potential spiritual ambush. Before reading this reflection let’s ask ourselves if God is most important to us. If He is or if we desire Him to be, then we must look at our choices as objectively and unemotionally as possible – if something offends the Lord, then we want to step away from it. Praised be Jesus who sends the Spirit of truth – Jesus may we see what You see and want what You want…
The Holy Spirit has put it on our hearts that the time is right to expose the practice of yoga for what it is.
If you find yourself immediately rejecting that first statement, ask yourself, why? Then, for the sake of your soul, please consider the cautions of yoga teachers and practitioners who have converted to Christianity. Their testimonies as to what is really transpiring are the most impactful.
“Well, I am a Christian and I do yoga!” you might say, “ and I just use it for the stretching and the health benefits. I don’t worship the Hindu gods.”
Such justification literally goes back to Eve – Eve did not know she was opening the door to satan, did not realize satan’s hatred for her, and did not realize the incalculable cost as a result of opening the door to false gods.
The word Yoga means “yoked,” and the question is, “To what are you yoked?”
Yoga is a spiritual practice with physical benefits that comes from Hinduism, a religion with many false gods. “Oh, come on!” you might hear yourself saying. “Hinduism isn’t part of it at all for me. I just take what I want, leave the rest, and I get great results.”
Again, that is a reasonable thought, but consider that either these Hindu gods are nothing more than blue, elephant, multi-arm paintings, in which case they are ridiculous, OR they really are false gods, in which they are demons. One of the gods is Shiva, called the destroyer. Christians know full well who it is who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. The evil one. A good Hindu practices yoga, and hinduism and yoga are inextricably linked. A westerner might think that he can take the physical and leave the spiritual, but is that actually possible? We grant that while it is possible to avoid worshiping pagan gods while trying to reap physical benefits, could it also be possible that these poses and asanas, designed to worship the Hindu gods might actually unknowingly channel their presence in your life and bring you harm?
If we justify participating in activites that have originated from false gods, look for evil's influence to spread further - What else are we justifying?
Exodus 34:14 says:
“You shall not worship any other god, for the Lord is the “Jealous One,” a jealous God is He.
Knowing that, how do you think our God views believers posing in manners originally designed to please the pagan gods?
One ex-yoga instructor, now a Christian, states the obvious, and that is, that your subjective belief that you can separate the two has nothing to do with the objective reality that yoga is a portal for the demonic.
She calls yoga “Ouija twister.” It doesn’t matter if one is just messing around with a ouija board, playing a little game; objectively, the game is summoning demons. Her interview can be seen here.
In Kundalini yoga, for example, there is said to be a coiled snake which lives at the base of your spine which goes up through your chakras when you go through the various poses to align with a higher version of yourself.
This is not of God!
The devil is the ultimate egotist, whereas Christianity is at its heart a relationship with God, not a self enlightenment apart from God. If you disagree, as many of you no doubt will, try to say the name of Jesus next time you are in your yoga studio. Simply drop His name in conversation, or audibly whisper His sacred name and see how welcome you are. Only when you speak non-descriptly of the “universe” are you allowed to reference a vague notion of God.
Our Lady said in her visions to the children of Fatima that there would be some fashions that would greatly displease the Lord. In yoga clothes we see such immodest and skintight clothing such that it would be difficult for any man to have pure intentions while practicing yoga in a room full of women. Many of the poses themselves are extremely provocative as well.
As the converted yoga teacher, Angela Ucci says, “If the vine is pagan, the fruit cannot be holy.” And “There are plenty of ways to exercise without channeling ancient deities.”
Pray always that the Holy Spirit help you discern what is true, and good, and beautiful.
Thank you for fasting with us tomorrow. You will be glad you made the effort for all of eternity.
1) We add the new fasting intention of taking back the church from evil. We submit the three-step process to achieve this victory is 1-Repent, 2-Prayer & Fasting and, 3-Imitate our Savior by throwing the evil leadership from the church. We will seek to emulate the Savior in our effort to End The USCCB, an organization that has been devastating to the church. (“You shall know the spirit by the fruits” - Matt. 7:16)
2) For the Holy Spirit to reign down upon America, renewing our land as the Christian, capitalist meritocracy we were founded to be.
3) For the protection of our police, firefighters, military and their families from harm and that the Lord bless their courageous generosity on our behalf.
4) For the protection of the families who fast with us, and for God’s blessings of abundance upon them and that true to His word, we will be able to witness that He prospered us in famine.
Would you like to learn more about fasting?
We maintain a repository of ideas and information we have learned over the last decade while fasting weekly for America. From scientific studies on the benefits of fasting, to the differences between intermittent dieting vs intermittent fasting, to scriptural references regarding the power of fasting to the history of first century Christians who stated believers are obligated to fast weekly, we hope you will find numerous insights with our free resource located here.
Together let us also implore Heaven while fasting for intentions you have highlighted:
4) For all patriots who put themselves on the front lines in combatting evil and for all of the warriors who are stepping up around the nation to fight for the gospel – May The Father cover them in the blood of our savior, protect them and their families from evil and bring victory to their endeavors.
5) For priests, ministers and all who aspire to lead others to the Lord, that the Holy Spirit will reign down upon them as at Pentecost filling them to overflowing.
6) For the Americans jailed after January 6th who were admitted to the Capitol building by the police, and who were not found to have destroyed any property at the capitol yet who have been held captive ever since on our own soil - That God's Spirit will move quickly to bring justice back to this land and free them.
