40% U.S. Silver Clad Half Dollars refer to a series of U.S. coins that were produced with a composition of 40% silver and 60% copper in their core. These coins are typically found in half-dollar denominations and were minted between 1965 and 1970. After 1970, the silver content was reduced to zero in regular circulation coins.

Obverse:  Features the Kennedy half dollar design, which is a bust of Kennedy , which was introduced in 1964 following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Reverse:  Features the Seal of the President of the United States, which was designed by Frank Gasparro.
